Travelling to Australia with a nepalese passport living in the UK?

I have got a ILR (indefinate leave to remain) visa in my Nepalese passport. do i need to apply for visa to aus or do i qualify for ETA visa? i tried to book my flight and some travel agent says that i can apply for ETA and others said i have to apply for proper visa.. I’m getting confused and goin crazy!
